#12 of 13 in Portland

Portland Saturday Market is an open-air arts and crafts market that has operated since 1974, making it one of the largest continuously operating outdoor markets of its kind in the country. It sets up beneath the Burnside Bridge and along Waterfront Park at Ankeny Plaza, near Skidmore Fountain.

Despite the name, the market runs on both Saturday and Sunday. Its vendors make the jewelry, ceramics, clothing, art and other goods they sell, and the market also has food carts and stands, as well as street musicians and performers.

The market is open from March through Christmas Eve. Entry is free, and the nearby Skidmore Fountain MAX station makes it easy to reach without a car.
