Riverfront Park
Downtown park with lawns, paths, amphitheater, and carousel
Riverfront Park is Salem's main downtown park, on the Willamette River at 200 Water Street NE. It has broad lawns, riverside paths, an amphitheater and views across the river to Wallace Marine Park.
Attractions in and beside the park include the Salem Riverfront Carousel, which has hand-carved animals, and the Gilbert House Children's Museum. The park hosts festivals, concerts and community events throughout the year, and the paths connect to the Union Street Railroad Bridge for walking and cycling across the river.
The park is free to enter and is a short walk from downtown shops and restaurants.
