Egyptian Theatre
Historic 1925 Egyptian Revival theater in downtown Coos Bay
The Egyptian Theatre is a historic movie palace in downtown Coos Bay at 229 S. Broadway. It opened in 1925 and is decorated in the Egyptian Revival style that was fashionable in the 1920s after the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. The theater was built for silent films and live performances and still shows movies today.
The venue also hosts concerts, community events, school programs and public forums, and the lobby and auditorium preserve much of their original character. The theater is a landmark of Coos Bay's downtown and is within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
The theater can also be rented for weddings, recitals and business presentations. Check the theater for current showtimes and ticket prices.
