Eugene Saturday Market
Oldest weekly open-air craft market in the United States
Located in downtown Eugene, the Eugene Saturday Market is the oldest weekly open-air craft market in the United States. Established in 1970, this vibrant marketplace operates every Saturday from April through mid-November, running from 10 AM to 4 PM. Situated on the Park Blocks at the intersection of 8th and Oak, the market offers free admission and is easily accessible, with additional parking available at nearby garages like The Overpark and The Parcade.
Visitors can explore stalls featuring over 250 local artisans who sell handmade goods, including pottery, fiber arts, jewelry, and aromatherapy products. The market also hosts an International Food Court with fifteen booths offering diverse global cuisines, providing a culinary highlight for attendees. Live entertainment and art displays contribute to a festive atmosphere that attracts thousands of visitors each week.
The market has deep roots in the Eugene community. While pets are prohibited due to health regulations, service animals are permitted. For those visiting during the winter, a separate Holiday Market runs from late November through December 24th at the Lane Events Center. This historic venue serves as a cultural hub, showcasing the creative talent of the Pacific Northwest and offering a unique shopping experience for travelers interested in authentic, locally made crafts and food.
